Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Winter in Chicago this year sure seems to be like one of those lingering unwanted guests who overstay their welcome and just don’t want to leave. Just as you take out all the spring/summer clothes and bask yourself in the warmth of the sun, your hit with snow flurries and the temperature touching 30’s again. Sigh! It’s almost the end of April for crying out loud we should have been well into Spring by now.

Ok so enough with the ramblings on the weather, as I was saying the harsh changes in climate took a toll on my skin from almost around November/December time and the lack of moisture combined with artificial heating just made it very temperamental and lacklustre. So I went on a hunt for a good moisturizer to help inject life back into my skin. I have been using the Clinique Moisture Surge regularly for the past 4-5 months now and I have to say it has been lifesaver in helping improve the condition, texture and appearance of my face.

It is a cooling gel that is extremely light to apply. As the name suggests it provides hydrated thirst relief for dry/combination/weather-weary skin. The skin just drinks up the magical concoction absorbing it instantly and feels like velvet on application. It is not heavy or greasy and does an amazing job at making your face feel smooth and refreshed.

You need a pea size amount to cover your face and neck, so a little goes a long way. It is not that expensive considering its miraculous properties and how long the pot lasts you. I have used the product mainly as part of my night skin care routine and occasionally in my morning routine too. It helped make my skin feel and look noticeably plump, glowy and radiant within  the first month of use which for me was quite shocking as I have hardly come across skincare product that makes such a different in such a small timeframe. It is oil free and goes under makeup smoothly leaving you with the perfectly hydrated and fresh looking canvas.

It has been a welcome addition to my skincare routine and I predict it will continue to work its wonders in the upcoming humid summery days that I can’t wait for! The Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief is easily available online and instores at Clinique, Macys, Nordstrom and most departmental stores.
