As far as skincare goes, be it evening or morning, I am quite old school and need to start off with plain old soap/foam and water. With the advancement in skincare there has been a shift in cleansing routines more towards the new cleansing oils, balms and gels. However with my routine, my skin just doesn’t feel clean until I have washed it first with a foaming cleanser and then the rest of the steps follow.
For the past few weeks I have been using Neutrogena’s Facial Cleanser from their Healthy Skin Boosters Range and to my pleasant surprise, considering it is from the drugstore and so economically priced, my skin has absolutely been loving it. It pumps out just the right amount required for a thorough wash, and lathers up quite quickly into a lovely scented foam. The best thing about this cleanser is that it is not stripping on the skin at all in any way as most of the cleansers from the drugstore are. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and some dry patches here and there. It leaves my skin extremely soft and hydrated. It does not over dry the skin as it in infused with Vitamin E that moisturizes and white tea which contains anti-oxidents. It is great for acne prone skin as it helps breakouts clear faster.
It is the first product where after a few weeks use I have actually noticed a change in my skin; it has become more balanced and healthy. Regular use over a short time has led to a glowy complexion and it is the perfect start to my skin care routine. A drugstore skin care product that I would highly recommend with my eyes closed.
